Kevin Sweeney is a combat veteran having flown missions in both Vietnam and Desert Storm. He spent 23 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Kevin is the only pilot to have landed a plane successfully with the 2 engines ripped off the left wing during a night combat mission in Desert Storm. For this he was awarded the United States Air Force Distinguished Flying Cross, a medal awarded to fewer than 1% of pilots. Kevin’s incredible flight has been featured in Reader’s Digest and been a featured segment on the A&E channel.
Author of two books, Kevin has held executive positions in Fortune 50 corporations and holds an MBA and two bachelor’s degrees. He currently serves as the volunteer president of a nonprofit organization, Honoring Our Wounded Military, that has raised over $1 million to support wounded military. Kevin and his wife live in Texas. They have four children and five grandchildren.
